The set also included Fleetwood Mac classics “Little Lies,” “Tusk,” “Gold Dust Woman” and “Go Your Own Way.” The band members themselves then took the stage for individual acceptance speeches before they got together for a five-song performance, opening up with “The Chain” featuring guest vocals from Harry Styles. Clinton also noted how he convinced the band to reunite for a performance at his inaugural ball. Surprise guest Bill Clinton also spoke about Fleetwood Mac, who provided the campaign song for his 1992 presidential effort (“Don’t Stop”). The Man (“I’m So Afraid”), Alison Krauss (“Songbird”), HAIM (“Gypsy”), Lorde (“Silver Springs”), Miley Cyrus (“Landslide”), Zac Brown Band (“Don’t Stop”) and more. The show took place in front of a crowd that included Fleetwood contemporaries like Bob Weir and David Crosby, and the tribute portion of the night kicked off with Imagine Dragons playing “Big Love.” The homages also included contributions from Brandi Carlile (“Say You Love Me”), Portugal. On Friday night, New York’s Radio City Music Hall hosted this year’s MusiCares Person of the Year ceremony, honoring the first full band in the award’s history, Fleetwood Mac, with a night of speeches and performances from an array of artists.
